Job Summary:
Elaine Keiser Architect is seeking a highly motivated Technical Draftsman II to join our team. In this role, you will work with our highly trained team to develop Project Designs. The ideal candidate would be highly flexible and able to understand construction documents.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain project files and records, ensuring that all relevant information is organized and easily accessible.
- Be able to construct schematic designs for various parts of a project.
- Be able to conduct site visits, do field measuring and produce as-built drawings.
- Be able to produce Design Development drawings for all parts of a project.
- Material Research
- Structural Design- be able to layout Structural Framing, foundations, coordinate plans, sections, and details with engineers.
- Electrical Design- be able to layout basic lighting, power, and communications.
- Strong AutoCAD Drafting abilities
- Familiar with 3D design
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in science and architecture or related field
- 3+ years of experience in building/ structure designs (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. (required)
- Ability to understand and close out construction documents.
